Thank you for choosing the Daoist Traditions College Acupuncture Clinic.
Our clinic continues to follow infection control recommendations made by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). To ensure the health and safety of our patients, interns, and staff, please note the following about your visit with us.
Masks are required. As a healthcare facility, masks are still required inside our building, regardless of vaccination status. No bandanas, neck gaiters, or balaclavas. We do not accept any exemptions for medical/health or other reasons.
Observe social distancing. When in shared areas of our clinic, please stay 6 feet apart to the extent possible.
Please wait to come to our clinic if you:
- are isolating/quarantining due to a direct COVID exposure;
- are experiencing/have experienced multiple symptoms of COVID in the past 72 hours, with or without a positive test; or
- have tested positive to COVID within the past 10 days.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Appointments:
Your acupuncture care will be provided by clinical interns supervised by experienced, licensed acupuncturists. As a teaching clinic, we have two priorities:
- For our interns to gain as much experience as possible by seeing a wide variety of patients and conditions.
- For you to receive the best possible care so you can reach your desired health goals.
We do things a little differently to meet these priorities.
In our group practice, we cannot always schedule you with the intern of your choice. We recommend trying a few different interns to find a that few you feel comfortable with so you can be consistent with your appointments even when your main intern is unavailable. Sticking with your treatment plan is more important than seeing any specific intern. Seeing other interns also gives you more perspectives on your health.
If your scheduled intern is unavailable, we will schedule you with another intern. We know this is different than other offices, but our interns have only 2 years to gain as much experience as possible. Our focus is to maximize each intern’s opportunity to treat a wide variety of patients and conditions.
Your clinical intern may be working with a partner and your session may be attended by a student completing Clinical Observation hours. There will not be more than two interns and one observer present during a given session. As a patient at our clinic, you are agreeing to accept any intern, observer, or supervisor that is assigned to you.
Your treatment will always be overseen by one of the licensed acupuncturists on our clinical staff. Our dedicated faculty share their wealth of clinical experience and your team of providers uses their combined knowledge to best support you.
Thank you for your cooperation with these policies and for your involvement in this important phase of learning. We look forward to providing you with an excellent health care experience!

Missed Appointments
Please make every effort to keep your scheduled appointment and to be on time. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may need to shorten or reschedule your appointment.
If you need to cancel your appointment, please give us at least 24-hour notice. Appointments cancelled without 24-hour notice will incur a charge of $25.00. We understand that things sometimes come up, but we cannot fill your appointment slot without significant notice and our interns can’t receive credit if they are unable to treat a patient.
Acupuncture can be extremely helpful for acute conditions. If something comes up, contact us to see if you should keep your appointment. If our schedule changes due to inclement weather, we will notify you by phone for planned changes and by text message for last-minute changes.
Please remember:
- Be on time for your appointments.
- Wear loose fitting clothing or bring clothes to change into.
- Eat a light meal before treatment.
- Bring a list of any medications or supplements you are taking.
- Do not wear perfumes, as some of our patients are sensitive.
- Allow 24-hour notice for any cancellations.
