About the event

Course Description

This course delves into the Physiology and Progression of Pathology in the Primary Channels, revealing them not merely as pathways but as a profound sequence of physiological expression moving from the Lung channel to the Liver channel.  Outside of their circadian significance, most clinicians do not realize that these meridian sequences  also illuminate a vital understanding of the progression of pathology. Today colleges of acupuncture focus primarily on the clinical applications of the channels based on the Zang-Fu.  Participants will discover how these channels intricately address issues stemming from exogenous, endogenous, and constitutional factors. We will explore the nuanced concept of Jiao-exchange, how channels intersect at pivotal anatomical regions and acupoints, influencing their therapeutic efficacy.  More importantly, their sequence also reveals how these channels can deviate from the expected order through their Jiao-exchange/intersection with other channels at vital anatomical regions and acupoints of the body. This seminar will provide participants with a deeper understanding of the primary channels and how they  offer a different lens, expanding one's understanding of the dynamic flow of Qi  and its elemental forces (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water) inherent in TCM cosmology.

This course has applied for 18 CEUs.
