This course will take participants into the Taoist view of the origin of life and how it comes into being. We will look at the precise dynamics of how the soul is said to manifest, and the dynamics by which it makes its entrance into the material world. We will then see how these underlying energies impact the functioning of the reproductive system, as well as how hormones and menstrual cycles are affected.
Because the parents, and in particular, the mother's psychospiritual makeup will determine the epigenetic environment in which the child gestates and grows, we will take into account how thoughts and emotions impact fertility, conception, and gestation. All of this will lead to more nuanced diagnoses and treatment principles from which specific acupuncture and herbal applications will be applied.
