Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (ACAHM)
Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts, it’s masters-level program in Oriental medicine (MAOM), the doctoral program (DACM), and certificate in Chinese herbal medicine program (CCHM) are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (ACAHM). ACAHM is recognized by the United States Department of Education as the specialized accreditation agency for institutions/programs preparing acupuncture and Oriental medicine practitioners.

UNC General Administration
In February 2012, Daoist Traditions was licensed by the UNC Board of Governors to confer a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM) degree. In May 2018, the UNC Board of Governors issued a license for Daoist Traditions to offer the Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) Degree Program.

State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement – North Carolina (SARA-NC)
The State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA) is an agreement among member states, districts and territories that establishes comparable national standards for interstate offering of postsecondary distance education courses and programs. The primary objectives of SARA are to make it easier for institutions in North Carolina to provide online and distance education options to students in other states and to provide basic protections for those students.

North Carolina Acupuncture Licensing Board (NCALB)
The authority to operate a professional training program in Oriental Medicine in the state of North Carolina was granted in 2003 by the North Carolina Acupuncture Licensing Board and Daoist Traditions opened its doors that same year.

National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM)
Graduates of the Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM) and Certificate in Chinese Herbal Medicine programs are eligible to take the examinations offered by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
