Admissions Requirements & Process
At Daoist Traditions, we take into consideration your personal, academic, and professional achievements as well as your desire to help others. We are dedicated to upholding a high standard of education to ensure that the public is served by caring, competent, and knowledgeable practitioners.
Our degree programs require students to engage in diverse and specific experiences essential to the acquisition and practice of essential skills and functions. All students are expected to perform all the essential functions listed in the Technical Standards of Candidates for Program Admission with or without reasonable accommodation. While the College will make every effort to work with our students to accommodate their disability-related needs, it is important to note the program is not required to provide requested accommodations that would fundamentally alter the essential functions or technical standards of the program, nor that would entail an undue administrative or financial burden to the school. Applicants are considered on the basis of individual merit without regard to gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, race, veteran status, national or ethnic origin.
Entrance Requirement
Applicants for the Masters of Oriental Medicine program must have fulfilled a minimum of 60-semester credits or 90 quarter units of general education at the baccalaureate level from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education. Please refer to the Application for Admission for a detailed list of required application materials.
New students are enrolled in August each academic year. We accept a limited number of students to begin in January (spring semester), based on availability of space. Applications are considered on an ongoing basis until the class has reached its maximum capacity. Once the class is full, additional applications may be considered and a list of alternates will be selected.
Admissions Procedure*
Once your completed application materials have been received, you will be notified of the status of your application and interviews with members of the Admissions Committee will be scheduled. The interviews are a crucial part of our college’s admissions procedure because we want to know our students on a more personal level than documentation will provide. On-site interviews are required for all applicants.
*Refer to the Academic Catalog for more details on the Admissions Procedure.
