Daoist Traditions Graduate Grant

The Daoist Traditions Graduate Grant offers a $500 prize to a recent graduate to help with the costs of certification exams, licensure, and setting up a practice. Details are emailed annually.

Golden Needle Scholarship

As part of their efforts to give back to the community, Golden Needle Acupuncture, Herbal, & Medical Supply offers an annual scholarship exclusively available to Daoist Traditions MAOM students. Golden Needle provides one $1000 scholarship and one $500 scholarship to the winner of an essay contest. Details are emailed annually.

NuHerbs Scholarship

Nuherbs would like to thank all the participants who submitted entries for the scholarships this year. Trudy McAlister Fund Scholarship

The Triskeles Foundation offers this donor-funded scholarship for students of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in ACAOM accredited or candidate schools.

ABORM Annual Scholarship

To foster new scholarly inquiry in the field of Oriental Reproductive Medicine & Infertility for publication in the Journal of Chinese Medicine and prize of $1,000.

Dr. Michael and Marlene Nissenblatt Scholarship

Offering $2,000 for first or second year students of Chinese Medicine who embrace and bring the human touch and human spirit to health care. Healthcare Leaders Scholarship

The Healthcare Leaders Scholarship is offered to students entering or currently pursuing an educational program related to nursing or medicine. Students must be at least 17 years of age and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. All applicants must submit a 600 to 1,000-word essay explaining what they hope to accomplish during their career in the medical field and how the scholarship would fulfill those goals. Recommended topics are included in the Personal Essay section. All applications must be received by January 29th, 2018. Finalists will be notified in February and must provide proof of enrollment and GPA (letters of acceptance, transcripts, etc.) before the scholarship recipient is selected.

Kalu Yala Scholarship

The Kalu Yala scholarship was created with the future entrepreneurs and business people. Applicants will be required to write a 500-word essay to be considered for this $1000 scholarship. A committee will select one winner based on their essay at the end of December 2018.


High school senior that has been accepted into a college or university.
Current college or university student that is not in their final semester. This includes all education levels (undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate).

Guidelines: To apply for this scholarship you must write a 500-word essay on the topic: “The Main Benefits of Studying Abroad”.

The Chart Westcott Scholarship

The Chart Westcott Scholarship was created to help students get the education needed in preparation for the realities of joining the workforce. With the ever-increasing price of education, the goal is for this scholarship to help a student get one step closer to obtaining their desired degree on their path to adulthood.
Applicants will be required to submit a 500-word essay by no later than February 28, 2019, and the winner will be awarded a $1000 scholarship by March 31, 2019.

You are eligible to submit an application to be considered for the Chart Scholarship if you are
(a) a current high school senior that has been accepted into a university or college or
(b) a current undergraduate university or college student who has not yet reached their final year of study.

Guidelines: Chart Westcott wants to hear your answer to the question, “What is one of the best investments one can make in themselves?”, in 500 words or less.

Application Process: When submitting your application for the Chart Westcott Scholarship, please be sure to fill out each field in the form completely. There are no fees associated with this scholarship, however, if you are selected as the recipient of this scholarship, you are giving Chart Westcott permission to use your name, city, and a portion of your essay for marketing and promotional purposes.

Submission Deadline: February 28, 2019

Winner Selection: Upon receiving all applications, committee members will review all of the applicants and present the top contenders to the greater scholarship committee for the selection of one winner. The winner of the $1000 Chart Westcott Scholarship will be contacted in March 2019 and will have two weeks to respond before a winner up is selected.

Scholarships and Financial Aid for Minorities

The U.S. Department of Education recently invested $96 million in grants to provide additional financial aid specifically for minority students. This grant funding will go directly to colleges and universities to help them provide better financial support to their minority populations. Express Medical Supply Scholarship Program

The Express Medical Supply Scholarship contest is open for part time and full time college students. One entry will be selected as the winner and will be awarded the $500 scholarship. Our goal is to contribute to higher education and learning by offering the winning student financial assistance to help cover the expenses of tuition and books.

Albertson & Davidson, LLP Scholarship Contest

This California-based law firm will be awarding $2,500 college scholarship to the winner of their newly created essay contest. By creating this award, we hope to help the next generation of students realize their educational and professional goals.

Tylenol Scholarship

The TYLENOL Scholarship program (2017 Scholarship is closed; we will update the 2018 information when it becomes available!) helps students getting a healthcare-related education manage the rising costs of education. Awarding $250,000 in scholarships to forty students based on leadership qualities and performance.

Tillman Military Scholar Program

The Military Scholar Program offers financial assistance to Service members, Veterans, and their spouses to cover academic and/or living expenses while in school.

Atlas Shrugged Essay Contest

Garage Gym Planner is awarding a scholarship of $3000 to deserving candidates which will help them cover the academic costs for the future.

2018 Grasshopper Entrepreneur Scholarship

Grasshopper will award one (1) $5,000 scholarship for the best submitted entry determined by our judges. The scholarship will be awarded in check form, made payable directly to the university that the winner is, or will be, attending for a school term in 2018.

Karl Jobst DDS Scholarship

The Karl Jobst DDS Scholarship was created to provide support aspiring dentists, dental hygienists and those who wish to work in academia at Daoist Traditions College! Students from all majors and areas of study are encouraged to apply.

To be eligible, each applicant will be asked to submit a short essay of no more than 500 words. The award for this scholarship is $1,000 and all applications must be submitted by November 1, 2019. At the conclusion of the application period, a committee will confer and select a winner by December 1, 2019. The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded by January 1, 2020.


The following people are eligible for the Karl Jobst scholarship:

High school students graduating this calendar year, and have been accepted into a college, or university in the USA.
Students currently enrolled in a college or university, and not having reached their senior year.
All applicants must be a U.S. citizen from the 50 states or the District of Columbia.
